    What Happened to Gold Acc


    I have been purchasing a 12month xbox live gold giftcard for the last 2years, i went to download a free game from gold and i cant as microsoft want my credit card details so i cant download it, The reason why i had to go to the giftcard was because microsoft
    xbox was taking money from my credit card, So i had to cancel my credit card and set up another account, So i have 11 months on my gold live which is virtually useless, i can still play online but cant download free gold month games, why has it changed?

    I'm going to assume the game you can't download is the Xbox 360 Games with Gold game. If so, nothing has changed. In order to download backwards compatible content, the system requires a valid payment method on file. The One/website do not see the Microsoft
    account balance as a valid payment option for 360 content so you have to have a credit card/Paypal on file for those purchases, even if they are free, or the purchase has to be made from a 360 console.

    Two xboxs one game

    Not necessarily legal but if u choose one box as ur home box with a gold acc. tied to it, anyone can sign in and use ur games on that box u designated as home. They may need gold but from what I know even silvers can use those, games without the home gold
    account being signed in. On ur 2nd box just sign in using the gold acc. and download the game in question. While signed in on the non home box with ur gold acc, u can play anyone that signs in to your 2nd box with the home gold acc assigned to it on any games
    that are installed on it. Hope this helps...

    @GG. I get what your saying and I understand the accs on the current XBL. But maybe other GTags using my X1 console are sorta dbags or what not. Does that affect ME being the home gold acc or is that their deal? See what I mean?
