What happened to all my purchases

I understand your concern. I'm afraid only Xbox Play Anywhere titles are playable on both Windows and Xbox under a single purchase. There are only select titles included in Xbox Play Anywhere. If a game you purchased in Xbox is asking you to purchase again in PC, then that means that title is not Play Anywhere and it requires a separate license in PC.

I found out that you need to purchase rdr2 online in order to play story mode this is something Rockstar has done not Xbox or Microsoft. I think this is a complete scam but there is nothing I can do about it.

This is an issue on my xbox x. I have verified my purchase via my purchase history. On the xbox market there are multiple versions of rdr2 I don't know if this is a glitch or what. All I know is I have purchased the digital game and not I can not access it unless I pay again.

Story Mode was always just a DLC for Red Dead Online and not separate game to be played. If you played it in the past, it may have been during the brief time that RDO was available through the Game Pass Library. That left the library some years ago.

If you purchased the "Story Mode" version, yes, the game description mentions that unfortunately the game requires you to have the online version.
