    OK, so I'm having a problem with my headset receiving audio from the party chat on the xbox app. I am able to talk in the party becasue it shows the line around my profile light up but when my friends try to speak I can't hear them. It worked before where
    I could hear and talk to them but up until two days ago it stopped. This all happened when I tried to download a voice changer application to have fun with friends but once it downloaded. My headset started being weird, I couldn't talk through my mic on my
    headset so I tried to fix it by unpluggin my headset which is a usb from my PC. And messed around with the control panel a bit to get it to work and the result is I was able to speak again and hear from all my apps except the xbox party chat on my PC. It no
    longer works, I can't hear but I can speak. I set my headset to be the default communication device in the playback tab and my mic to be the default communication device in my recording tab. Still to no avail, can someone help me fix this.

    what the title says can join or talk to anyone in party chat. I'm on windows 10. Can i not talk to friend who are on xbox?

    Is there a setting to *not* use the PC mic/headphones for party chat?

    hey how did you use your mic in xbox app party chat in the first place? i launched "start a party (beta)" and it shows my mic, but i can't talk or hear anyone in the party chat. and my mic is the default recording device

    Okay I can't help you with the issue but I have a similar problem where I can hear friends in party chat and game chat but they can't hear me even though my Xbox is detecting that it hears me talking. This both applies through my mic and the kinect. The
    thing that puzzles me over it all, is that my mic and kinect definitely work because they work through the Skype app, so can anyone help, please

    @cammers not for me, it just stops me hearing ppl talking and they can't hear me, Iset to party chat and change it back to party chat and alls well, but it happens a lot.
