What game did you think you'd love only to not like it very much?

Destiny. After playing the beta, I was excited for the game to come, so that I could get immerse myself in the story and explore the areas. Once the game released, I quickly realized there wasn't much to the story in the actual game. Most of the lore was
tied to the Grimoire cards that could be accessed on the Bungie site / app, which is no longer available (you have to use a third party site now).

Kingdom Come. I thought this game was right up my alley and was excited for it but I just cannot seem to get into it. I need to go back and try again but something else new and shiny appears and then I forget.

Red dead redemption 2, I think the first one was so good that this one just couldn't meet the hype.

We happy few, I misunderstood what the game actually was, I don't consider it's the game's fault.

Darksiders 3, if I wanted to play Dark Souls, I'd play Dark Souls.

I'm sure there are more, I feel like I've been disappointed a lot lately. Hopefully The Outer Worlds keep being this good I'm having a blast so far

Anthem for me such a let down. Really enjoyed the beta but the actual game just wasn't any good.

Mass Effect Andromeda for me. I had too many problems with that game. May go back and try again later.

Oh this is a great topic! I'd have to say original Destiny, which let me down so hard. And original No Man's Sky.

The good thing is that both of those eventually turned out to be very fun games, but their original release was extremely lacking.
