  1. What does it take to get a straight answer from Rewards support?

I've tried contacting every resource I could before coming here to post this - so I'm going to try here.

Microsoft Rewards, which was of course formerly tied directly into the Xbox itself is a service that I have been using for a while now. I buy a lot of content, most of it digital and part of why I started to do that was because of the money back that I was
getting from being a part of the Rewards program.

A few times when I went to redeem points, it wouldn't allow it to go through for one reason or another - ever since they automated the system to put points directly into your account. I'd always message support, they'd fix something and tell me to try again
and then things would be good to go. At least once I was told that they had something on their end misconfigured about my account - it was never a big deal, I was just happy that I was able to redeem my points.

A few weeks back, before the Black Friday sales I decided to redeem since there were some deals on the $10 cards themselves and I couldn't redeem... so I put in a ticket like normal and then decided to use the Xbox app that recently came out for Rewards
instead to see if there was any difference there. Instead of a generic error like I would normally receive, it said something about my account being considered a 'Risk' which I found odd, so I added an addendum onto the support request that I had and waited
    for an answer.

It came back that my account was being suspended and I was given a list of reasons why it possibly could have been. None of them made any sense. Stuff like creating bots, making multiple accounts, etc - none of which I have done or ever attempted. I asked
for more clarification as to what I was being accused of and was told that the case was going to be put under review again. I thanked them, they closed the ticket and a new one was opened.

Not long after that I was told that they were going to uphold their suspension, and then that ticket was straight up closed. I asked again for further clarification and after days of receiving nothing, I've opened a new ticket. It's... disheartening to say
    the least considering that;

    1) I have zero clue of what I am being accused of

    2) No one is providing any information at all

    3) There is no conversation here at all - instantly closing down tickets as if 'I know' what I did

    4) I have a digital library full of games - and while I never thought that it would be truly possible before now, I am starting to wonder if the same thing can happen to my account

I've tried every avenue - and I don't think I can speak to another scripted support agent that doesn't seem to have the ability to give me any answers. What am I supposed to do at this point?

    :)

    The Saboteur, EA - DLC?

OK, I finally got a straight answer from tech today. It is "NO" you can't download the content.

I'm not sure why it took so long to get a straight answer, but there it is. EA not living up to what I consider a good business model. But, that doesn't matter, they make huge amount of money why change?...

    Take care.

  3. We CAN'T Play The MP Off Our HDD!

I know what you mean, if people have they game and are willing to come on here, why is nobody giving a straight answer? does it or does it not?, also the reviews from players are almost cryptic.

What does it take to get a straight answer from Rewards support?

Unfortunately email is the only way to contact Microsoft Rewards support. No other form of support handles the program so they would not have any information. Typically you are supposed to receive a response within 24 hours, but I would imagine being this
time of year, it will take longer. Also be sure to check your spam folders to make sure any responses have not found their way there.

    Hello Thrill,

Thanks for coming to the forums. As just an addition to what Smwutches stated which is great. You could submit another request to look into it, As it seems the second was closed prematurely.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Brad

Wait have you checked your enforcement site https://enforcement.xbox.com

As what you are dessribing isnt a rewards issue but an enforcement issue and no rewards doesnt deal with enforcemrent nor will they ever have information on enforcement

Thars probably why its being closed

Snd no you wouldnt see enforcement reason on the app

You only can see it on the enforcement website

If you are currently suspended it can affect your rewards

Are you currently suspended on xbox live?

    Hi there,

I too, had my account suspended, over a year ago, along with 3 others that were attached under my name (I have multiple Gamertags for friends when they come over). I asked them to look into things and got no response, as if my communications were black listed.
Regrettably, through experience, I can't guarantee that the Rewards Team will look at your case again.

Please be mindful of creating new accounts, as they will likely be located in the database if information matches, and subsequently, suspended also. It is not recommended to do so.

    Best,

    L

  10. Thanks for the enforcement link, that provided me with the reassurance I wanted that my acvpunt itself is in good standing - as it notes I have a perfect record.

But yeah, my account has never been suspended or really had anything against it that I can remember.

It's why my removal with zero feedback from the Rewards program baffles me.

  11. I had the almost exact thing happen to me a few days ago. Except for the suspended account. I sent them a message explaining the situation but only got a response telling me to be patience. I went to my microsoft account and went the manage part and removed
some things. Then went back to rewards and was able to redeem my points

  12. Ever since I first started having issues, I pretty much did this - went directly to the site and gave my account minimal information, made sure that everything else was accurate, etc.

There was an odd issue with my account where there was a Canadian address and then a blank American one - but that was two years ago now and that was sorted out as an issue on Microsoft's end.

As of right now, I can see points that I didn't spend - but going to the Rewards section at all just states that I'm suspended.

Hey Ri thanks for keeping in touch!

We suggest, without sounding repetitive, to give it some time. What we believe might be happening is that the Microsoft Rewards Account could be suspended for a possibility of someone else trying to get in to it (hacking) it has happened to me personally
but after about a week and a half I received a response from our
    Microsoft Rewards program
that all was well and I was back in business. Give it some time, we hope this helps and please let us know how it goes!
