What does it mean when your xbox 1 won't let you play your downloaded games

When you say it won't let you play online do you mean Xbox Live or when you sign into your Saints Row account?

• Does this happen when you connect to LIVE or does it happen offline too?

2. Does this happen on more than one game or only one game?
3. What game or games exactly are you playing when this happens?
4. Does this happen when you're using apps on your console as well?
5. What style of console do you have (Xbox 360S, Xbox 360E, etc)?

Does it let you download games from gamepass? Do you get any messages when you try to play online? Does your network status page show any issues? What does it say for your NAT status?

Sorry to hear you are having a problem. Typically, when a digital game is purchased and downloaded on a console, there is a system license tied to that console, which means that ANY profile on that console can access the game and play it. If you were to
take your profile to another console and re-download the game, then only your profile will be able to play that game as the other license is tied to your profile. However, since your son is trying to play it on the same console you purchased it on, it leads
me to believe that parental controls might be playing a factor. Out of curiosity, what game was downloaded, what was the rating on the game, and do you have parental controls set up to prevent your son from playing games above a certain rating or content?
Also, when your son goes to Browse Games, does the game show up at all or does he receive an error or message when attempting to play it? Please let us know and we'll do what we can to assist. Thank you,
