    How do I get my Xbox 360 2008 model to work when it won’t read the disks and it crashes when it gets to hot.

    The console is 15 years old and has likely failed.

    i'm afraid Microsoft no longer repairs Xbox 360 or the original Xbox one

    all you will need is an HDMI cable.

    Hi there,

    HDMI alone is sufficient because HDMI supports video and audio. If you used standard component cables, make sure to use the one that has HD. It is the extra red blue and green cables here.

    I would just recommend getting an HDMI cable to make it easier on yourself for set up.

    ^Assuming, of course, that they have that exact model available. If not, you will get the next step up they do have available.

    It's a very very very long shot of getting a slim, but you may get a 2005 model replaced by a 2008 model, for example.
