What Do I Do If I Can't Use My Own Minecraft Account?

Hey there! I need some help. About 7 months ago, I got a 2-month trial for Xbox Game Pass using my Microsoft account linked to *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***. It was for playing Minecraft. After the trial, I couldn't play Minecraft anymore, but I didn't worry about it.

Now, after 5-6 months, I wanted to play Minecraft again. A friend got me a license key, and I used it to download Minecraft. But, I was surprised when the Minecraft launcher asked me to pick a new username. When I tried my old one, "sprskhan," it said it was taken, even though I was on the same account. I've tried resetting the launcher and contacting minecraft support, but they just told me to ask microsoft support, so there I am.

I'm reaching out to the community to see if anyone has faced this and can help me out. Thanks a lot for any advice or solutions you can offer!

got help from xbox support (jeprey c.), just change minecraft username on their website

I really need help because I don't think I can return a used key and if nobody will help it will mean that my friend wasted 30 dollars on me

Thanks for replying! I appreciate it very much! The problem with my minecraft account now is that when I migrated it I used my own gmail account but when I bought my minecraft account I used my dad's gmail account to buy it. I saw on youtube that you had to use the same gmail account as when you bought minecraft to link your minecraft account to a microsoft account. But I didn't do that I used my own instead of my dad's. So basically what Im trying to say is how do i change my microsoft account that i linked to my minecraft account?

Do you have the confirmation email about the migration process in the email (Microsoft account) that you're trying to use to sign in the game?

I do own minecraft bedrock. I have it on my other computer which is why I'm baffled that I can't access it now. It is tied to my microsoft account on my other computer but for some reason my account doesn't say I own it. I do. This has happened to me before and I fixed it somehow but now it's doing it again.
