update error

hey all, i bought my xbox 360 last week since ive had i cant download the update for when i put battlefield 3 in and i get error code 4099-0000-D080-0200-8007-045D plus i cant download any apps or demos please help , im stressed !!!!!!

There's a service alert up at the moment so Microsoft is working on the issue. You just have to wait on them to get it fixed.

what can I do

Hi my name is zen, i know all too well this current problem which is cause of the current outage on xbox live with purchase and content usage. If you just getting the message installation stopped everytime you try install an app you can take this simple
step to solve this problem temporary till a fix is found.

go into network settings - advanced network - DNS settings and then change your primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 once done this should solve your problem.

Also be sure to check back here regularly for an update on the current outages and then reset back to default https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/contact-us
