What do I do if a purchase goes through yet I was still charged?

May I ask when was the charge took place? Because for pre-order transactions Microsoft will get the charge from us 10 days prior to the game releases.

The purchase hasn't actually happened yet. So far all that has happened is that the boards of both companies have agreed to the sale. If it goes through smoothly, Microsoft will not be in charge of anything until the deal is completed sometime in 2023 from what I have heard. You still have some waiting to do.

May I know if you tried with another payment method or using Microsoft balance?

No and I doubt it has anything to do with the payment, because it worked fine until the the completion of the purchasing process, in which it gave me an error message while at the same time taking the money, strangely, when I contacted Support, they were able to identify the purchase but I couldn't find the purchase on my account. This is a strange and awful bug that must be fixed

I personally never experienced something like that in all my years purchasing content digitally on Xbox webpage and consoles

As a last reminder, in case you have any VPN service active or similar, try disabling it before purchasing something
