What can I do to receive my gift card for my Xbox after someone stole it?

They stole the code off my car. I still have the cart and the receipt. I was wondering if you can check the code and see which Xbox it’s been loaded onto.

Support could probably see where it's been redeemed, but they wouldn't tell you. As all cards state, Microsoft is not responsible for lost or stolen cards.

You can't do anything you have to address it with your friend

Hi I'm an Xbox ambassador, I'm not an employee for either microsoft or Xbox.

There are two scenarios I can think of here's my solutions to each one.

1. Someone stole the physical card/code from you in this case there isn't a lot that can be done, if you really wanted to you could contact your local police but due to the low value they probably can't charge them. If you know the thief you could ask for the $25. Xbox wouldn't be able to do much as they wouldn't have any proof of the incident. I would slugfest contacting xbox support using this link https://support.xbox.com/en-CA/contact-us make sure to choose to phone them as otherwise you will be connected with another xbox ambassador.

2. The code didn't work, in this case Xbox would probably be a bit more helpful as you should be able to contact them about the issue using the following link https://support.xbox.com/en-CA/contact-us, you would want to choose to phone them as otherwise you will be connected with other xbox ambassadors who are unable to assist. You may also want to let the store know that the code doesn't work.

I am unable to do this as I am not employed by Microsoft, wish there was more I could do to help as it would suck to lose a gift card like that. Best I can say is try and contact support at least that way you know you've tried everything you could.
