  1. What can I do if one of my emails are inactive

I can't sign into my X-Box account out of nowhere. The error popping up is 0x80190001. It will sign in on my X Box one, but series S it's some timey. My Microsoft is tied to an active email, but my alternate email that recieves the security verification is tied to an inactive email which was my first ever. My account have my picture in it to verify its me if need be. I need this cleared up or I'm afraid I'll have to leave Microsoft. Credit card is attached, I have bought games, 8,000 Microsoft points, battle passes & ultimate. I refuse to lose out on my purchases, achievements & saved game play.

    :)

What can I do if one of my emails are inactive

    Hey there, Asmodeous Noctis

If your account has been closed due to inactivity which means you can't use it as a recovery method for the account. You will need to submit an account recovery form to Microsoft via this link: Account recovery form

This will allow the Microsoft account team to verify you are the account owner and send a password reset link. It should allow you to reset your password and security information on your account.

In terms of the inactive account, once it has been marked as inactive and deleted. Everything on the account is deleted. To learn more about Microsoft's account inactivity policy, please look at this article: Microsoft account activity policy - Microsoft Support

    Hope this information helps,

    Nathan

    Changing Email without Email

I know what the email is that is connected to the xbox account but that email has been deleted by the service provider for inactivity. The only thing I don't know is the password and I can't reset it because the email has been deleted. What I am wondering is if someone at Microsoft can change that email to my email that actually works so that I can reset the password similar to what they did with my Mojang account.

Any way I can get my old xbox account back?

okay thanks donkey, I will deffinately do that. And okay Landmark i will also do that, but as it stands the email is inactive- therefore so is the account. i will most likely have to ask customer support to change the email to a new one due to the previous
    email being hacked by spamware

How to submit a ticket for requesting an inactive account gamertag to be reset?

I want to change my gamertag to the name I use on all other platforms, the gamertag is used by an inactive (atleast 5 years inactive) Xbox account. How can this gamertag be reset so that I can use it on my own account?
If they sign into the Microsoft account their xbox gamertag is tied to in order check their email at least once every 2 years then this will also make their account (active) and basically would never have their gamertag reset as long as they do that.

Because of that there really is no way to know for sure if an account is inactive or not.

    Change Gamertag

The name must be inactive by 5 or more years to claim it but that dont mean you can always do so because every Xbox account is tied to an email, so if the Xbox account is 5 years inactive but the email used for that account is being used constantly then
you cant claim that name at all...
