Thank you for the response. There are no other devices plugged in to the Xbox. The Xbox is plugged in to a surge protector. We have moved it around and plugged into another surge protector.

If you still have this problem on a more current television, then you should send the system in for repair

Yes I have been having this problem for about a month now, i have the extra year protection I was thinking of taking my unit back it is very annoying. I turn the system on and the screen turns to a white snowy static for one second and back except it happens
faster than every 5 seconds its like every 2 seconds. Turning the system off doesn't change it I have to unplug it. For the first time today I noticed that same High definition type snowy static starting to creep in behind a Netflix movie I was watching
it went away after about 3 minutes. This started to scare me as if the problem was getting worse. The start up problem happens about once a day.
