What are Official Xbox Magazine Points? Are they still a thing?

I recently found out that some of my favourite games have Xbox 360 gamerpics that could be obtained through these magazines. The one I've found is #83 from May 2008 with Portal gamerpics.

The only problem is that you need 800 OXM Points to obtain them, which I can't find any information on what they are or if they're a thing anymore.

it was probably some kind of loyalty program, the official Xbox magazine ceased publication a very long time ago

I follow the Official Xbox Magazine on Facebook and they just posted something today outlining what Microsoft is doing with the April update. One thing they are fixing is the static in the headphones.

The video game site didn't post the headset info... Gem, the OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR of the Xbox One (in the UK) did. The game sites reported on the magazine sent out to customers. It was in an official printed magazine, I'd say that's good enough to mention.

Next time, before going off half cocked, read the whole thing maybe? Or what was that word you used... "misreleasednonaccurate"? statements might be made.... Just saying.

It would be cool, but I've learned to never trust a thing "Official Xbox Magazine" says unless backed up by other very publicly declared sources.
