What am I missing to play a game on the Xbox with the game pass ?

I bought a month pass with the Xbox gold and I went to manage it as to turn off recurring payments and I can’t open Minecraft for example without an error. Saying that I need to renew my subscription or if it’s a disk to clean it. I tried closing the app and re opening it, I tried turning everything on and off again and nothing seems to be letting me onto the game? Am I missing something

I would like to clarify, did you purchased the game or you were able to play the game through Xbox game pass subscription?

Also, what subscription you have as active? Is it Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass for Console, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? To check follow the steps below:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

Ok, maybe I'm misunderstanding what I purchased here. According to the game I have to also purchase a game pass in order to play the game. I have purchased the Game pass ultimate and it still won't allow me to do anything. Everything shows locked. What am I missing here. I should note this game is for my grandkids to play when they come to visit this weekend.

Oblivion GOTY or regular edition

Forza 3 is a great racer, also quite cheap

Earth defense force 2017, so japanese, so fun

COD4 mw, just for campaign is excellent
