What achievements are eligible for reward points

I've earned up to roughly 35,000 gamerscore then I see that getting some achievements can get you reward points but I never got any, so have I just not earned the right type of achievements? On the xbox, some achievements have a diamond next to them. Are they
the ones that earn you reward points? Also when I check my lifetime credits earned it says that I've earned 15,350 but also says lifetime Microsoft points earned is 0. Im guessing there is a problem here. Further more, when I check MyVip star rank, it says
I have 0 star vip. I know it requires you to pay at least 300$ on the xbox store but I know that I've spent AT LEAST 500$. Please help fix this.

Microsoft Rewards

How do I get points for preordering a game that is eligible for points now that I already preordered earlier? And what about achievements for a gam when I have accomplished almost all for that game? Are redeeming points for accomplishments
for Microsoft rewards automatic, or do I have to select/ sign up for each item that I want to earn points for?

 

So... Possible to buy microsoft points as a gift or not?

In order to receive credits for achievements they have to be part of a specific offer on the site, like the current RoboRewards offer. You have to first purchase an eligible game for that offer and then earn a set number of achievements in that game.

Microsoft points were discontinued in 2013. So if you signed up for the program after they were discontinued you would not have any lifetime points earned.

Support will double check your VIP progress. Keep in mind that the progress would only count purchases from September 2015 until now. Subscriptions, in-game consumables, and preorders would not count towards your progress

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. In September 2015, we made some refinements to the
program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds. If you did not reach any MyVIP ranks with your purchases from September 2014-August 31st 2015, you were placed at a default rank. Since you are a zero star member, you do not
get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

The yearly resets mentioned above are why you had a one star VIP level in the past that you no longer have. As Smwutches says, Microsoft Points were the old currency used by Microsoft that was discontinued. I can confirm their statements that currently the
only achievement offer is a part of Robo Rewards.
