Westinghouse won't turn on and off

    Westinghouse won't turn on and off


    I have a Westinghouse UW40TC1W which the Xbox can't turn on and off with the default selected code or trying any of the guided setups. It appears this was discussed here:

    Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

    However that user was sent a "private message" and it stopped there. I would like to know the solution this is very strange since all my universal remotes talk to this TV just fine.

    i have a westinghouse and i got it set up automatically. problem is, xbox can control the volume and mute, but the power signal isnt long enough to turn the tv on or off

    Xbox On/ Xbox Turn Off does not power on off the television

    I just tried the LG auto setup for my Westinghouse VR5525z and it worked! Volume works, TV turns off with Xbox, but I cannot seem to get the "Xbox On" command to work as often as I'd like (barely 10% of the time)

    Thanks Zack Dollar! That helped out a lot. It mostly worked as for some reason turning off my Xbox One does not turn off my TV, but it does now turn my TV on when I start up the system. By the way I have Westinghouse 46" LD4695 model and my remote code is:
    T2993, so possibly TC can try using that code too.

    The system reboot thing definitely helped. However, now if I can only get it to turn off when I power down the Xbox.

    I tried everything. I have a Westinghouse VR-4090. The IR codes didn't work for some reason and the "guide me" didn't either. I tried the guide me for LG tv brand and it worked with mine - volume, mute, menu, but not turning it on/off. How could this one
    work but not my own IR codes?
