weird youtube resolution issue on series s. all content thats not uploaded in 4K just...

"That one" being Weird West? The difference between my weird west and gameplays of the game on Youtube are enormous, so it can't be just that

that may be due to them playing on a one x or series console or even on pc, all of which are much more powerful than the one s and can mostly do 4k or even higher.

the series s support up to 1440p but to use that resolution you would need a monitor not a tv as most if not all tv's support 1080p or 4k.

series s will upscale to 4k though.

I recently upgraded from the S to the X, and I personally feel that speed and graphics are better. As others have mentioned the X plays 4K content and displays in native 4K resolution. Where as, the S can display up to 1440p resolution for games and 4k resolution
for Movie/Video Content (IE 4K UHD Blu-ray disc, content on the Netflix app, etc).

TLDR:

If you wanna play games and watch movies/shows in 4K you'll want the X.

Otherwise I would say the S if you just wanna watch 4K movies or shows.

Your information is not correct. Actually when you set the xbox one S console resolution to 4K UHD, everything on the console—Home, games, and apps—will display at 4K. 4K content is displayed in its native 4K resolution, and other content (like 1080p content)
is upscaled to 4K.

Well no Series s doesn't do 4k

It can upscale video to 4k but generally you are capped at 1440p 90hz you can do 120hz at less resolution

The series s is underpowered for native 4k

It can't play games at 4k and will only stream media content at upscalled 4k

You would need ps5 or series x for 4k 120hz

And even then very few games will do 120fps Most will drop frames till people learn the next gen platforms

Cod and ea and ms or sony have no issues at those framerates though calisto protocol is bad for Frame rates

Most developers will only do 4k 60fps
