  1. Weird vertical lines after alt tabbing out of a fullscreen application.

Ater playing Minecraft on PC and alt tabbing it would make my screen go black before going to the desktop. I now have weird vertical lines on my screen when at my desktop and its gone when launching Minecraft in Fullscreen. It goes away on my desktop when switching from 360hz to 60hz however, going back to 360hz adds the lines again. I've tried restarting PC, changing display port cables, updating graphics driver, and changing resolutions but none of those did anything. only thing that has an effect at removing the lines is switching from 360hz to 60hz.

    :)

Weird vertical lines after alt tabbing out of a fullscreen application.

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

The issue with vertical lines on the screen after alt-tabbing out of a full-screen application can be caused by a variety of factors. It's likely that the problem is related to the graphics driver or the monitor's refresh rate. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

Try updating your graphics driver to the latest version. You can do this by going to the website of your graphics card manufacturer and downloading the latest driver.

Check your monitor's refresh rate settings and make sure that it is set to the correct value. If the refresh rate is set too high, it can cause issues with the graphics card and display.

Make sure that your graphics card and monitor are compatible with each other and that they support the refresh rate you are trying to use.

Try using a different cable or port to connect your monitor to your computer.

Try a different monitor to see if the issue is isolated to your current monitor.

Check your PC if it's overheating or any problem with the power supply.

Games through xbox run terrible unless alt tab

    Hi,

Alt-Tab switches between open applications. Don't you mean Alt-Enter? Can you tell us your system specs please?

Xbox game bar recording stops randomly, how to find back the video?

Hi there Jenny welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. When recording with Xbox Game Bar, it can only record **ONE application at a time**. Example: If you are on the Discord application, start recording, then Alt+Tab to a different application, it **might** stop. So try to avoid switching applications in the middle of your recordings.

If the recording stops at random times **WITHOUT you Alt+Tab -ing to a different application**, unfortunately, there's no clear solution.

I hope this information was helpful to you.

Alt tab not minimising some games?

    Hi,

Typically you can only ALT + TAB if you've got something to ALT + TAB to. If you've got the game open and nothing else, alt tab won't take you anywhere.

Want to tab to the browser during play, open the browser then launch the game. If you can't tab out of the game press the Windows key. Depending on how the game is being run (Full screen or Windows Borderless) you'll either be able to tab to the browser
you opened or you'll need to press the Windows key. The Windows key will either display your desktop Start Menu at the bottom of the screen or take you to the desktop.

I'm a PC gamer too and the above is what I do to get back to the desktop or go to another application.

None of my games use Fullscreen Optimizations in Windows 10

    Hi,

What games are crashing? Some, or all of them?

Games from the Windows Store (or Game Pass) either have Fullscreen Optimization enabled by default or run in Windowed Borderless mode which shouldn't cause games to crash when attempting to ALT+TAB.

You can check whether Fullscreen Optimizations are enabled or not by opening the Xbox Game Bar via Win+G. If you are running in Fullscreen Exclusive, then the display brightness may be flicker. If you are in Fullscreen Optimizations, the Xbox Game Bar should pop up as an overlay.

Sounds more like a graphics driver issue to me.

Windows Apps can not have Fullscreen Optimization disabled as it's not possible to access their exe file to disable them.
