    Weird shut down bug on Xbox series X?


    One of the issues I have on series X is when switching the console off while it's downloading a game/update the console remains switched on at the dashboard but loses connection to the controller's, I can then switch off using the Xbox app but if I power back on from instant on the controller's won't connect until I have done a hard reset

    I have the same issue

    Nba 2k22 next gen on X series, if only i go to any online activity mode, like 5v5 Rec, console just shutting down. Offline modes i could play 24/7 no problems

    When i called Microsoft, wanna know what they told me ??

    "It is very weird, make sure you got proper ventilation and plugged in directly"

    Sigh

    Really pushing me hard for a switch to PS5 ehh, they don`t shut down in 2k22, they also got their issues, but you can play at least, their consoles don`t shut down.

    I mean this issue with Series X shutting down is beyond imagining, just unreal. Tons tons of reports on internet on various forums, X series users reporting it from some time now, did not see any PS5 shutting down user reporting it, just other minor bugs.

    Unfortunately, I believe they shut it down late last year however with the upcoming realise of the Xbox Series X they will be opening back up to suggestions.

    I was running into the same problem for days with no available solutions working. But after disabling a few things while troubleshooting, i found that 4k uhd was the culprit. After disabling it and running 1080p with raytracing enabled, i have had zero
    shutdowns. With 4k enabled i would notice prior to shutdown that the game would stutter when dismounting my aim. Seconds later it would crash. For the past 2 days i have logged multiple 4-5 hour sessions without any problems. Its truly disappointing to have
    a 4k capable console, not capable of 4k. Hopefully a future update will correct this.
