Weird issue with Xbox app and gaming services on PC

Ever since I tried downloading Halo: Infinite, the Xbox app is acting really wonky. The first time it went really smoothly, but when I opened the game it said I hadn't downloaded the campaign, but on the xbox app it said I had. I tried following the instructions of a different forum post here that had me sign out of the app and on the microsoft store, reset both in adv settings, and reinstall gaming services. Ever since then, the xbox app will look like i have no games installed, until I reinstall the gaming services app, but the moment i try to download halo after that, it gives the error code that took me to the original forum post i followed. I realized I already have the game installed which was probably the reason for the error, but since then ive tried this whole order of operations, reinstalling gaming services, manually deleting the halo files, and redownloading them three times. Yesterday I thought i had it done but i had to leave before I could try booting up the game. When i turned on my pc today, everything looked like it was fine, the game was on my list of games but it said it needed an update. I waited 10 minutes and the update wouldnt start so i tried starting the game to see if it downloaded in the game or something. I looked down at my phone and realized nothing had happened and the xbox app had closed itself, and when i opened it none of my installed games were on the list. I dont know what to do at this point
