    Error when opening the Xbox App on Windows 10 Home.

    I purchased a DELL Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1 laptop a couple of days ago. In this time I've had a number of issues with connecting to the Internet and with my Microsoft account. Most recently, this inability to sign-in to the Xbox App.

    Steps taken:

    • Restarted computer
    • Reset windows
    • Made sure Microsoft account was verified in the Settings App
    • Checked for a support article on the above mentioned error code.
      One does not exist
      .
    • Contacted Xbox support on 02 8031 8186. This issue is outside the scope of their support.
    • Contacted Microsoft support on 13 20 58 as suggested by Xbox support, but the pre-recorded message says that support is a paid service, and instead to use the help forums if I am looking for free help.
    • Tried downloading the Xbox App from the Store, but after it says it is downloading for a minute is says there was an error (0x8024401B), which Xbox support also couldn't find any information on.
    • Xbox App in Store is now listed with update available, but produces still produces the previously mentioned error.
    • Reverted to a local windows account, tried signing-in to the Xbox App, added my Microsoft account again, tried signing-in to the Xbox App.
    Steps not yet taken:

    • Try Xbox Beta App
    • Try contacting DELL customer support
    *Note: Attempting to use the same Microsoft account for Xbox App that I use for Windows sign-in.

    It could be there is an error on that page currently.

    Usually if I get that error, I try using EDGE browser, this usually resolves the issue.

    After contacting DELL support today and describing this issue, as well as issues with downloading any app from the Windows App Store, downloading Windows Updates, etc. they have decided that my operating system, and even the recovery partition, is corrupted.
    They are sending me recovery media via post within 2 business days, then I am to call them back while I reinstall Windows10.

    If this doesn't solve the issue, I'll take a look at the link you've provided.

    Also to answer your questions: Yes I've tried signing in to the app from a different profile, but as you may know Windows will not allow you to sign-in to multiple user accounts with the same Microsoft Account on the same PC; And no I haven't tried using
    a different device because I don't own a different device.
