    Hello,

    Getting the issue with muted mic on Xbox one S. Only a couple of months old was working fine until about 3 weeks ago.

    Tried all the troubleshooting steps so assuming this is some kind of bug.

    Bought a new heaset

    Tried different controllers

    Reset Xbox

    Updated all firmware

    Tried wireless and USB connected

    Opened up privacy settings

    Does anyone have the fix because I've wasted loads of time on this and going round in circles.

    Tried 2 different headsets one is an MS authorized chat headset. The first headset was working till about 3 weeks ago, it works fine on other devices. Definitely not a headset issue

    Thanks for the reply.

    I have purchased this headset with the Microsoft adaptor

    Xbox One Official Chat Headset

    Works a treat, so looks like a definite bug with the 3.5mm jack like you said - hopefully microsoft will push out a fix soon.

    Hold old is the other Xbox? They have different generations pretty much every year or two. You may need to download additional firmware for the headset or try updating the controller if possible.
