    Hello,

    My son is trying to talk to his friends whilst playing his games.

    he has this message - we were unable to find a microphone for these people.

    We have checked the NAT, powered off and on, assigned the controller, changed audio codes, checked settings, left the party, entred the party, made sure the headset works on another device, tried using another headset, etc etc.

    If any have any ideas that can help a frustrated 10 year old - and his mum, then we would love to hear them

    We can't find a microphone for these people

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    If that doesn't work try testing with a different controller/headset.

    The 3.5mm plug may be faulty and the adapter bypasses it.

    But try the Settings firmware update anyway.

    This Headset Support article may assist you. Take note of the headset adapter section as I found this to be the solution to most
    issues with headsets.

    In Settings>Kinect + Devices>Devices and accessories you will see ... (3 dots) click it and do a firmware update even if it reports its up to date.

    Headset was working fine for last couple of months without the adapter plugged in into the controller.

    Hey Valdecek

    Thank you so much for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

    If you have tried different controllers, and different headsets, then perhaps it could be indicating that this is a problem with your network.

    What is your
    NAT type     currently set to? If you have anything other than an "Open" NAT type, this could be the cause of the problem.

    If this is the case, I would recommend that you try using the

    Xbox One Multiplayer Game Solution     wizard and see if that does the trick for you!

    Give it a try and let us know your results!
