We Really Need Am External Way To Manage Game Save Data

After all these years, I am still playing Fallout 4. The issue is a handful of individual games saves in the game save container cause the game to crash before before they can even be deleted using the game interface. As an end user, we can't delete saves
outside the game as we could on a PC. We can only remove the container and wipe out all saved game data.

I understand this design was to prevent cheating but in so doing it's breaking games for many more non-cheaters and that's not fair. Here it becomes a game of pass the buck and blame the developers who turn around and blame Microsoft. Worse, in many cases
users are told all their game data is corrupt when it's not and they lose what countless hours of character development for something that is an easy fix.

An external editor that's part of the system tools that at least allowed users to delete save data would eliminate the problem. I understand the risk of deleting critical data as many users do, but at least it better to have a chance to fix a game than simply
having to delete everything and start over. That may have been okay in the days of simple games like Pac-Man but with many games taking months or years of user's time to play, it's ignorant to find that an acceptable answer.
