i have no idea wtf this is i just want to fix it now

Unable to sign in error 0x80072EFD

Unable to sign into Xbox live. Receiving an error message saying "We could not sign you in 0x80072EFD"

 

try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account

 

What are you trying to do when you get the error? Open an app or game? Use the Xbox App?

Can you open up your Xbox app on Windows 10 and click the Settings tab on the left, then select Network at the top and let us know what it says? It gives some details about your network status as well as details about Xbox Live Service Status. That will
help us identify what we might need to troubleshoot.

 

Trying to log into the Xbox app but it comes up with that error code and it’s been saying try again later it’s been like 2 months

If that's the case there are a few things we want to try, in this order:

1) First thing to try is to reset the app. If you go to Settings > Apps and then find the Xbox app in the list, click "Advanced Options". From there scroll down a bit and select "Reset" Let it go through that process, should be quick, and then restart
your computer and try again.

2) Uninstall the app, by right clicking it in the Start menu and selecting "Uninstall". From there, reboot your computer again, and then open the Store, search for Xbox and install the app again.

3) If you still can't sign in, then open up "services" from your start menu search (you might need to type "services.msc" to see it, depends on the computer settings) and let me know what it says under "Status" and "Startup Type" for the services "Xbox Live
Auth Manager" as well as "Xbox Live Networking Services"

 

first 2 didnt work i cant uninstall for some reason no clue y

both of them say running / manual

 

pc issue if it was my xbox i would try that first

 

If you can't uninstall them, you might not be an administrator on your PC, possibly? Is your computer joined to a domain?

Do you have the means to try testing with a second user account on your PC, like with the answer solution here: I can't uninstall an app from Windows Store (Windows 10)

Hello, I'm a different person with the same exact issue, and for my status and startup type both have no status and are both disabled. Please respond as fast as possible for I am trying to play my new game Sea of Thieves. Thank you.
