ways to locate a serial number for an xbox controller

Where did you find the serial number?

It should be located under the controller's BAR code. Remove the battery from your controller. The BAR code and the serial number should be there.

Are you referring to the Controller serial number located in the battery compartment? AFAIK and can see via Microsoft Support section, that is the only location that the information is available so if the label has been removed or damaged then there may
be no other way to get that information.

I thought the Microsoft Support web site used to list accessory serial numbers too but can't find any for all of the controllers that I've used with my Xbox One consoles.

If you are referring to the Xbox One console serial number, you can go into the Settings - System - Console info section and the serial number info etc should be available there. Alternatively the console serial number should be available on your Microsoft

Hello go to the support page and fill out a repair request. The serial number is located under the battery in back of the controller. Make sure you have the serial number so you can see if still under warranty.

Hello in order to send the control through repair you have to go through the Xbox support page and repair. You need to make sure you have the controllers serial number on the site. The serial number is found behind the batteries on the controller. Once
the serial number is entered it will let you know if the controller is still under warranty. That way you will be able to send it through repair if possible.
