Watching Videos From PC on XBOX ONE using Vista.

Used to do this all the time on the 360 but cant find out how to do this on XBox One, using Vista and all the info given is for 360, can anyone help??

Windows Media Center sees files but can't play

I am having a similar issue. I have windows vista on my pc. On the xbox 360 in wmc, I canne all my shared video's but none will play, gives a codec error. I then went to my pc and tried wmc there, still would not play. I downloaded windos vista codec pack,
and video's work on pc now, but still not on xbox 360 wmc. I have also installed klite codec pack, still can not play videos on xbox.

Xbox one & vista pc

Is there a way to stream from a vista-based pc to the xbox one? Vista keeps 'finding' the xbone each time that I switch on the console but it can't find a driver,yet the xbone shows up in the network map.

Vista is just a pain in the ***...when I built PCs for mates etc, used to install XP Pro then upgrade to Vista if they wanted lol....these days i just tell them to buy a gaming PC from Alien Ware and be done with it

I have a similar problem with my PC HDMI passed into my XBox ONE. The video is FINE as long as there is SOUND coming from my PC (i.e. watching a movie or listening to a song). As soon as the audio is done. BAM! The video freezes.

I know the PC is fine, I can connect to it from another PC via RealVNC. As soon as I hit 'play' on a song or movie - BANG! The video unfreezes and is fine.

Really strange! It's like the One is assuming that since there is no audio, it's not worth updating the video.
