Was My Files Explorer Removed?

If you download the photos app, you should still see your photos are not deleted. MY personal gripe with this new update is that theres no way to change my background from that file explorer, bc the photos app doesn't let you

Come on Microsoft. What the heck? Why did yall remove file explorer. I love the Xbox one. Bring it back before sony starts flexing on you guys.

It is not there, I had put my projects for school there because they were very large and now i must do it again.

I have loved microsofts xbox since I was 7 and am very dissapointed in the lack of communication and a good explanation for this

I await your reply with an explanation on how to retrieve my files

If you have your photos under 'Pictures' directory or a sub dir of 'Pictures', you can try deleting them with ms 'Photos' app (free download). I was able to do that, though i must seriously caution you that once upon a time, I was deleting files with 'Photos'
while simultaneously running ms 'File Manager', and also removing files using it. My Xbox 1s got into some really bad state and several reboot attempts were needed before it recovered itself. So there is risk. Like there seems to be with any ms app. Sadly
but abundantly true - greed...
