I first went to the refund form to get a refund for a game. The refund was deemed ineligible. This is because I have owned it for less than two weeks, but I have played for more than two hours.

Since a factor with the game makes it unplayable for me that is not in my control. I figured I would reach out to support to see if there were any options. The support person was nice, saw my perspective, and took me through the refund form again. And ended
that chat with "And rest assured that you will be getting 100% refund on your end, alright?". This was with the knowledge of my specific situation.

Should I try again after the holiday or just leave it be? At this point I am kind of over it.

If you have already submitted a refund request using the appropriate form the only thing to try would be to contact official support via phone/chat. They are located at support.xbox.com/contact-us

However there are no guarantees that they would be able to refund it.

Phone or chat support would be the only ones who would be able to do a refund, but refunds are not always guaranteed.

 

Part of the refund conditions on game content is that it must be played for less than two hours. (This mirrors the return policy for the Steam Store.) So that is most likely why the refund was denied.

We suggest replying to the email received by the refund team since they are the only ones with the correct tools to assist in this matter!
