    Warzone Disk Read Error When Not Using a Disk


    For the past two weeks or so i've been crashing non stop on warzone, about 10 times a day. Each time I crash it says disk read error 5.0 or 3.1 or something like that. I am not playing on a disk, so I have no idea why I'm getting this error. I've tried
    uninstalling and reinstalling twice now and I've deleted the 1gb reserve and the special ops folders. Nothing has seemed to work.

    What game was it? What I'm hearing is the disk read error, ship it to microsoft and they'll fix it. This is caused when the reading lens get stuck far back so instead of reading disk, it reads the edge of the disk causing this frustrating error.

    What kind of hard drive did it come with.

    Providing you are using the original hard drive if the error persists i would advise calling xbox support they should help you.

    Also i have a problem a disk reading error the disk tray will jam if there is no disk in but if there is not problem.

    I am having the same issue. All my other disk read perfectly normal. Sometime the MW3 disk reads great but most of the time it doesnt. I will sit there for a good 15-20 min opening and closing the disk tray. I have tried all the trouble shooting tips they
    dont work either. Most time i close the tray and it says reading then the disk drive stops spining and it says open tray. Some times it starts to read it and starts to load the game then I get the disk read error. some time it will actually start to play
    and I get the disk read error. i am on my second game disk.

    backwards compatibility

    Wait, in your tags, it says "Unreadable disk". If the 360 gives an unreadable disk error, it means just that, it can't read the disk.

    If you play an xbox game that is NOT backwards compatible, it will FLAT OUT SAY "THIS ORIGINAL XBOX GAME IS NOT COMPATIBLE". Not "this disk cannot be read".

    Try cleaning the disk. Are there any scratches on it?
