Warranty Service Repair made my controller worse!!

Hello,

I received an Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller for this past Christmas(2022) and about 3 months ago I started to have issues with the right bumper only working about half the time. Since my controller is still under warranty, I created a service ticket and sent it in for a repair to Xbox. I received it back about a week or so later, and the bumper issue was fixed. However, both the left and right triggers were now only working about half the time and the left stick sticks when go from the top to left or right. I once again created a service ticket and sent it in to Xbox for repair. Upon receiving the controller back a week later, none of the three issues were fixed.

It is my theory that when I had originally sent in the controller, the wiring was messed up by whichever technician worked on it. I am very frustrated that I will have to send it in for a third time to be 'fixed' instead of just receiving a new controller completely. I'm not sure what other action I can take at this point so any help or advice would be great.

I suggest going back to tech support one more time. If possible I suggest you try to will the phone number of support Xbox so you can call and demand that you do a correct service on your controller because it is not possible for a controller to be taken three times to technical assistance this situation is very complicated I believe that calling you can chat better than sending an email.

may be a fee. Also repairs can only be made in certain regions so I would check that as well.

Do you perhaps have a spare controller to test?

If not, is your controller still under warranty? It might be that your controller is faulty? If it's within warranty, repairs are free. If your device is out of warranty, you'll be charged a repair fee.

Hi Mauricio,

I'm sorry to say that you are going to need to replace that controller as the issue is likely being caused by the software and not and internal hardware component.

We don't recommend any self repair and that generally shouldn't be talked about on the forums. Self repair may also void any warranty the controller might've had.
