    warranty of Xbox controller, not completely fulfilled


    We sent in my son's Xbox controller for warranty. We sent it in with all the original parts, including any cables and a zippered carrying case. The replacement item we received did not include any additional parts. The zippered carrying case was not returned to us. We just received the controller in a plain box in bubble wrap.

    I would like a replacement carrying case sent to us, along with any necessary cables. Thank you for your assistance.

    You can try contacting support to see what they can do, but instructions for shipping consoles back do state to only send the console as anything else sent with it is not guaranteed to be returned. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Hey BlubberMetal, your Xbox One controllers are covered with the Xbox One's console warranty. Contact support by phone and they should help you setup a fulfillment order for a controller.

    I'm sorry to hear that it's a persisting issue. If you have tried all the troubleshooting steps provided and all still fails you will either need to
    set up a fulfillment or replace the controller.    Controllers have a 90-day warranty through Microsoft so it should be covered
    by us to set up a fulfillment.

    As well depending where you purchased the controller you might be able to exchange it in store, for that I would recommend to contact the store you purchased the controller from.

    In the Xbox support site, in the contact us section you have the options for contact available, you can do it trough chat or request a call

    If currently you have to pay for the controller replacement, that would mean the warranty has ended, remember that the one year warranty is for the first controller purchase, if the controller had to be replaced the warranty continues until the year is fulfilled, it won't get another year of warranty since the replacement

    There are a great many controllers that suffer from this that have been well looked after.

    Unfortunately they seem to last just long enough to fulfill the minimum requirements for warranty.

    In your case though if you're in the UK your controller would still be within warranty.

    If you are outside the Us check out your statutory consumer rights.
