Warranty for XBOX Accessories if you don't own an XBOX

Hi everyone. A couple months ago I went and bought a new XBOX One Controller and Play & Charge Kit so I could play on the Xbox CloudGaming service XCloud.

About a week ago my Play and Charge kit has failed after roughly 30 Charges and is still under the 90 day warranty period. The battery will not hold a charge longer then 20 minutes anymore.

I can not find a way to register the product without owning an XBOX ONE and there is no way to reach anyone on phone or email.

Is there any Microsoft people here that can help me?

Go to the retail store you purchased this from as you will get the best results that way. If it has only been less than 90 days, depending on the return policy they should be able to help you out.

Unfortunately the store in question only has a 15-day return policy on electronics, otherwise I would just take it back for a refund. However I have contacted the customer care department by email about the defective product and am hopeful for a positive
response.

Yeah most big box stores either have 15-30 day return policies, whether you are changing your mind or receiving a defective product.

Thank you for your response, I will wait back for a response from the retailer, and if unsuccessful I will attempt to contact the XBOX support with the method provided.

I feel much better about this issue being resolved now.

I did buy it from a big box retail store, I will attempt to contact them and see if they can help.

As for microsoft support, I am not sure such a thing exists. I could not find a way to connect to a real person or email address, only a helpdesk bot that directs me to these forums.

If you bought it from a retailer in a store, you can take it back to them and explain that its faulty and what the fault is.

If you bought it online you will have proof of purchase on the site you bought it from. If it is from microsoft itself then your account will have evidence of that. I would speak to microsoft support about getting a refund
