I recently asked EB Games Australia if they could send my controller off to Microsoft to have stick drift repaired they refused to do it stating in email the following:

"we are unable to facilitate this repair with Microsoft directly as the issue is stick drift.

We would consider stick drift a minor fault as this issue can be caused over time due to gradual wear and tear"

My question is what good is a warranty from Microsoft when EB Games a supplier won't honour it?.

Yea not all the stores are. My local one is thankfully. Gamestop is called EB Games here and these are the only stores doing it in my state.

I bought the console from EB Games Australia and I bought the game on the xbox store (in Australia).

Why would a digital download from the xbox store be region locked?

So far in Australia at least, EB Games and GAME are still accepting preorders for the N7 Collector's Edition... which conisdering it'll be released here in a little under three weeks (about 19 days or so, give or take a day). You may want to consider purchasing
one on the Australia EB Games/GAME's websites for postal order... as Australia is in PAL Territory like the UK, our copies should work on either console.
