Warning to All Xbox gamers with Cox Communications Internet

3 Mbps isnt that bad. I think the xbox site says you need at least .5 Mbps for it to work right. My ps4 gets 6 and I have Cox and the fastest package they have in my area. I'm getting 105 download and 6 upload on my ps4 and 100 download and 2.5 to 3 on
xbox one. With saying all that though I'm still having trouble with my xbox one and my ps4 works just fine. I kept having a strict nat type on my xb1 and then did the port forwarding thing just for port 3074. When I turned my xb1 back on it was on a different
port, don't know if it's supposed to do that or not, and I was getting like 45% packet loss so I switched to a different port and the nat type is still open and my packet loss is 0%. I been trying to play the division and I couldn't even load in the game but
when I switched the port the last time it loaded in but disconnected after about 10 minutes and now wont load back in even though everything looks great in the network section. I just did a detailed network statistics and got 100.52 download, 2.41 upload,
0% packet loss, 36 ms latency and my wireless strength is 100% and yet I still can't play the division. I click start game, it says connecting and then it says disconnected. It finally reconnected but I know I'll get kicked out in 5 minutes. It's almost like
the ps store. That's the only problem I have with ps4 online. I'll be looking at the discounts, click a few games and then all the sudden I just get a loading screen so I back out, click check network and it's like the ps4 remembers its connected all the sudden
and the store works again. But as far as playing games I have no problem at all. I've been having this xbox problem for a while now. I just don't understand why the wifi is so bad and can't connect or stay connected. And their website will say wireless headphones
interfere with it. It doesn't bother the ps4 and if you have wireless headphones for the xb1 how the hell are you supposed to use them if it interferes with the xbox wifi? It's a joke how bad it is and they, meaning Microsoft, needs to do something about it.
It has to be a problem with the consoles. They need to figure it out and give us replacement ones if it can't be fixed by a patch or something. I have the gears 4 edition one s so I'd really rather not have to lose it bc it looks **** but if it means I can
play without dealing with it disconnecting all the time I will.

This is where we need Net Neutrality to relate ISPs from doing this.

Its every xbox gamers issue who has cox internet. If you are one of those Mars, then go do a speed test using your console and check your upload speed.

and what happens if you use other port? it should be work anyway

I Googled cox internet throttling and Cox forum staff repeatedly posted that Cox doesn't throttle internet traffic. Cox however may be running a very oversubscribed and congested network given the very many negative posts about poor network throughput all
over the USA where they have service.

Sadly if the ISP that you use has bad infrastructure that they aren't prepared to fix then there is nothing you can do but select a different provider if available. Maybe you and other tenants in your building should attempt to convince your landlord that
a different internet provider is required given the substandard service that Cox appears to be providing.
