Want to update the warrrant of my Xbox Controller

You need to open a ticket at https://support.xbox.com

There you will submit copies of your reciept

Microsoft, except with a few retailers, has no way of knowing when you purchased it, and so your warranty is set at the date of manufacture until updated

Hey I wanted to let everyone know an update with my controller. So I had the same issue and found a different thread somewhere else where someone mentioned connecting the controller to an xbox prompted the controller for an update. So I had to dig out my xbox one and sure enough connected the controller via USB and it prompted for an update, and now my Elite Series 2 Controller is once again working properly on my PC.

Hello Ron, I wanted to thank you again for the solution you gave me , but unfortunately it didn’t really work out for me, i used my computer to update the controller and I didn’t see an Update icon or anything that i could click on to Update the controller, it only says “Configure” I plugged my controller on my xbox again and the same happened (Your controller needs an update).

Thanks for your post! You may want to try
update your controller if it is not behaving normally, though this can happen like how Obsessive Power has mentioned. Normally, with my setup, I use a wireless controller for my Xbox One and I use a controller connected via USB for gaming on my PC.
