Voice to Text no longer working

Cortana has been removed from the Xbox console and she was the reason it was able to do that. But don't worry, Microsoft is aware how important it is and is working on a solution. In fact it was release to the Insider team recently, so once the bugs have
been worked out the feature will be back. Be patient, I don't have a timeframe other than soon. 😉

Ah ok, so I'm not losing my mind! Good to know.

Thank you for reaching out to Xbox forums support. If you haven't already done so, go ahead and try performing a Soft console Factory
reset on your console by doing the following:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console. [KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS]

Make sure you have both your email and password on hand as you will be asked to sign back in. There is an option to delete everything and to save your games and apps; choose the latter. This will
reset the Operating system [OS] of the console and allow you a fresh start-up.

Hi Felix!

Thanks for the quick reply. I started the reset and after just a few moments, it asked me to turn on my controller, then asked if I wanted to restore my xbox from a backup on my hard-drive. Should I do that or say 'no thanks'?

It does have to do with cortana but I already have it enabled. When you go to type a message through the messaging app when Cortana is enabled you have the option to hit the select button (not menu button but the other one to the left of the Xbox button)
and speak into your mic and it will type out what you are saying. This is known as talk to text/voice to text. But it is not letting me click the button.
