    voice to text Mic button is missing!


    Before the last update I was able to press a mic button on my on screen keyboard and dictate content to the Xbox One Party/chat interface. What ever I spoke, would be put into the chat box as text. This awesome feature has simply vanished from my console,

    it is not found in another section of the keyboard, select lb to look in another section, if not or the option was notvery used or forgot to put it

    Talk to text (voice to text) not working?

    It does have to do with cortana but I already have it enabled. When you go to type a message through the messaging app when Cortana is enabled you have the option to hit the select button (not menu button but the other one to the left of the Xbox button)
    and speak into your mic and it will type out what you are saying. This is known as talk to text/voice to text. But it is not letting me click the button.

    It's not the mic that does voice recognition. It's the computer chip inside that is running a program to process what you say and turn it into text, commands, ect ect.

    Just a microphone. Lmao go to a tech school before you try and act like you could make voice controlled systems with just a Mic Boom. Lol

    Can speak on my mic but can hear :(

    Press the Guide button on the controller and scroll to the right. Select Preferences then Voice. Make sure the mic is not Muted.

    Kinect ruining everything.MS so shady

    They added voice recognition.I am missing out IF and only IF MS could use a mic and choose not to.If MS has the ability to use the mic then they owe all the paying customers that option.If its not possible to use with a standard mic then I would not blame
    MS for that feature with Kinect.
