Voice messages working, no game audio

Anyone have an ideas? Headset has audio for party voices, but all in game audio and menu clicks do not work whne the headset is plugged into red controller. Sound works normally with the headset when plugged into black. What would be wrong with the red headset? The hardware seems to clearly work as the party voice chat works.... Very weird that only in game audio does not work. Is there a way to unpair the headset or some other type of reset anyone has heard of?

I can send an audio voice message using the new headset on his console and also hear one that's been sent to him .And also hear game audio , but when you join a party or create a party or game chat there is nothing?

Semi Related but I've been having problems with voice messages since the update, one guy on my friends list only sends voice messages he refuses to type and now I get these audio messages with no sound so I have no idea what he is saying. Hope it
fixes soon.

Thanks for the post. I tried to send a message voice only and that eliminated the chance of being a game or chat only issue.

I'll work on it - I'm new to game capturing but I do possess the required skills to do simple voice over audio

MisterMoo1031, go to messages and record an audio voice message to send to a friend with the headset. You don't have to send it to the friend, but you can play the message back to yourself prior to sending. Did it record what you said through your mic?
This is just a test to see if the mic is actively working despite lighting up in parties.
