Voice has dissapeared from games, DVD and BD, all background sounds still present

After the update on the 31st, all voice from games and Movies has gone. strange thing is that all other sounds on console, games and Movies are still there. Any tips on how to get it back?

No sound on dvd playback

I don´t think it has, it has hdmi labeled hdmi in 1 through 4 and you can custom map them to channel names like `BD´, `Sat´ or `Game´. Currenty I have the xbox mapped to the bluray channel (bd) because the universal remote I use doesnt have a button for
the "game" channel. I tried connecting the xbox the other HDMI-In ports, but still no sound for dvd playback :-(

 

Xbox One S - Can it play any type of recordable disc?

Does the new Xbox One S support all types of DVD and BD discs, i.e. BD-R, DVD+R? If not, which ones?

I can't find any kind of detailed specs.

 

That is a weird issue. Can you try heading to Settings>Disc & Blu Ray then uncheck Enable BD Live and click on Clear Persistent Storage 3 times then hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

See if that solves the problem for you.

 

I had this happen to me a few weeks back…its an HDMI issue.. sometimes audio and video go or sometimes just one of them do. try a new HDMI cord as they do go. probably not a TV issue.

 

Thanks for getting back to me, I figured out a work around. Or at least I beleive it is.. Instead of having the audio set to HDMI I changed it to Stereo and it worked again. IT might be the setting it should be, even if it is set to output sound through
an HDMI cabel to the stereo.
