    I have read through the forums, but still stuck. My xb1 will hear my commands such as "watch AMC", will show it heard me, but will not switch stations. I have a dish vip211k box. I know that it needs to be set to remote address 1, but the process to change
    that will not work on my controller. Has anyone had this issue with this particular box? My setup is correct and it worked at first, but I messed up and went through the motions of setting it to 1 because my cable box wouldn't power on/off either. It never
    moved from remote address 8, so I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated.

    Not able to change channels with xbox controller or voice command

    Yesterday, I was able to use my xbox controller, voice commands and cable box remote control to change TV channels. Last night and today , I can barley change channels with any of them. For instance if I use the one guide for channel 529, it will do nothing
    or possibly change to channel 5 or 2 or something. Same with voice command. Also, now my cable box remote barely works. Not good.

    Kinect IR blaster

    Will the IR blaster let me use voice commands to change channels in the cable box but volume on the audio receiver?

    OneGuide functionality in the UK

    I am from Russia. I recently bought a Xbox One. It works fine and understands my voice commands in English.

    In Xbox One (OneGuide) no support for Russian cable television providers. And no voice commands to change channels.

    I'd like to have voice commands: NEXT CHANNEL, PREVIOUS CHANNEL and CHANNEL [NUMBER CHANNEL].

    XBOX One is INCOMPATIBLE with TIME WARNER CABLE!?

    I use Time Warner here in Brooklyn NY and didn't have really any problems with setting up my cable box. I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8600HD cable box. I did experience the a problem last night while changing the channel via voice command the Xbox
    said the link between the cable box was lost. I asked it to change the channel again and it connected back again. My cable box is a few years old and I believe they don't use this model any more.

    Xfinity X1 box PX001anc wont change channels using the Kinect commands

    I have this exact same problem. I have the X1 cable box model MX011ANM configured manually using the model number (not remote code).

    All other voice commands appear to work, but changing the channels just brings up the X1 search screen with the channel number. No "Ok" signal is sent. If I hit OK on the Comcast remote after using the Xbox voice command it works.

    Any ideas?

    hdmi trouble

    I had to manual type in my cable box for the TV setup...found out that even though it got the name of the box right it didnt get the number of the box correct and had to type in the correct number...now everything works fine for me..you should look into
    that i have a new bright house cisco box and it still didnt read it right...was only able to see the picture but coudlnt change channels or do the voice commands untill i typed in the proper cable box number in..number should be behind your box.

    X1 Platform/Xbox One Set Up

    Just to add my two cents, I just set up my Xbox One with my Xfinity X1 box last night. When setting up the device, it tried to do channel up and asked if it worked. I had to say no all three times. However, then it said it was finished, and the voice commands
    worked to change the channel. Remember, I believe you also have to go to a channel at least once before in order for the voice commands to work changing to that channel.
