voice chat on xbox one x

I just purchased an xbox one x. I had an xbox one s but got rid of it a year ago. I always used a headset to chat when gaming on xbox live multiplayer. Theres no headset with my xbox and I have no idea how to voice chat now. How does one do this with
an xbox one x?

The Xbox Ones S and X are not supplied with a headset and you would need to purchase a compatible headset

If you have an Xbox One Wireless Controller with a 3.5-mm port, you can connect a headset with a standard 3.5-mm jack directly to the controller. (The 3.5-mm port is a small circular port on the bottom of the controller.) Find out how to adjust your

Yeah headsets don't come included with the consoles, you'll need to invest in a headset thats compatible.

Hi,

If you have a smartphone you could download the xbox app from the store, sign in to your profile and join parties from there. You can use this as a temporary solution till you get to buy a headset.
