    Voice chat on Fortnite and CoD working ok Xbox to PS4 and PC, but not to Xbox


    My son plays Fortnite, whilst in a game he can speak to his friends who play on PC and PS4, but his friends who own an Xbox he cannot hear nor they hear him, when they are all on at the same time.

    I have the same issue with CoD where my team of 4 I can speak perfectly ok to the 2 PS4'ers but the 1 Xbox guy cannot hear me nor can I hear him.

    Surely Xbox to Xbox should be eaiser!?!?!?!?

    I don't think it is a privacy issue as he is able to speak with PS4 and PC. Also as the problem is on two different games I think it could be an Xbox issue.

    I have updated the controllers, we are using a head set.

    I have checked all obvious settings both of the games and the xbox . Can anyone help, please don't assume I have checked something you think is obvious.

    I assume they all are in party, as he is in a group. Xbox friend can talk to PS4 friend and Xbox son can talk to PS4 friend. But in the same game Xbox friend cannot talk to Xbox son. Leaving PS4 friend to relay each of the XBoxs to each other.

    I have the same problem on CoD MW and I have my the other Xbox player as an Xbox friend and in game friend but cannot hear each other.

    are his friends in a party? if so then that is why he cannot hear them, they also need to be in game chat in order for him to hear them.

    In fortnite the headset doesnt work to a ps4 running it. It works fine xbox to xbox but not with a friend running ps4. I have tried turning voice chat off, ptt off. Accepting then coming out and resetting but still nothing. What else can i try?

    unfortunately, there's no app to voice chat with ps4 gamers. only xbox to pc.

    It's probably a fortnite issue, the only way to use game chat in fortnite is by going to voice chat in the pause menu and turning it on from there, if that doesn't work you can go to audio settings ingame and disable voice chat then re-enable it. This
    has always worked for me but if it doesn't I would report the bug to fortnite.
