Voice chat not working in Xbox app for PC Windows 10

Hi,

I am having trouble to get voice chat working in parties with the xbox app on Windows 10.

I have no problems using my microphone with any other program that does voice chat. I'm using an Arturia Audiofuse Studio USB audio interface for my audio. When in a party I have correctly set my input and output and the app recognizes the signal from the microphone. I have correctly set my push-to-talk and my icon lights up when I press it, however, there is no white circle around the icon, it just becomes brighter. The audio will not transmit to party members.

Here are things I've tried:

Allowing all xbox related apps to use microphone in the Windows settings.

Resetting the input and output devices.

Switching sample rates.

Setting automatic time and date in Windows.

Any fixes I can try?

USB headsets are not compatible with an Xbox one, and so far there is no software to fix this issue. If you are looking to use the headset for chatting purposes only you can download the xbox app on windows 10, often it is pre-installed on windows 10
pcs. With the xbox app you can create a party and invite your friend(s), the party will have voice chat.

Hi there Kmack welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. This might be an issue with the app itself! I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

You can also check if Party chats work well on the Xbox app on PC (Windows 10/11) or on your phone.

Hi,

So you can start a Voice Chat with another player, and then add other people to that voice chat (or they can join in). Starting a Voice Chat with someone on Windows 10 via the Game Bar is a One-to-one to start, and you can't just start
an "empty" party as you can on Console unless you use the Console Companion app.

This page has a few more details on the Game Bar, but additionally I believe you can still use the Xbox Console Companion App to start a party as well in the more traditional manner.
