    Headset: Can hear friends, but mic won't detect my voice. Tried 2 headsets. Kinect mic works!

    Also, if I record a voice message, Xbox says no mic detected; check to see if your mic is muted.

    It's NOT muted!

    @ Blue illusion... pro tip... the mute button on the chat adapter or OEM headset is on top and very large as it acts like an extra button... with one swipe of your thumb... MUTE MIC.. NEED AMMO (bf4) Swipe thumb again UNMUTE MIC..back to chat.. none the

    no microphone on child account

    Is it showing the mic is active? If so if the mic still doesnt work after removing the account and placing the account back onto the account, make sure the party the child is in hasnt been muted, we had the similar situation and turned out that someone in
    the party had muted my child in the party. Hope this helps x
