Vizio (Routers) Vizio XWR100: Router Secuirty
    Hello JahSav93,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The router needs to be logged into in order to change the security protocol settings. That requires knowledge of the make and model of the router. For Example, A very popular router is the Netgear(make)
Nighthawk R7000(model). You can locate this information on the router itself. Once you have that information, you can search for that device's manual online or use our

    Network Hardware Information Forums
. They will provide you with the steps on how to change the security protocol. If your router was provided to you by your internet service provider, you can also contact them for information on how to change the security
protocol. Be sure to let us know the results!

The router configuration and how to manage it are usually based on the model your using, so I would suggest to look for more specific info online searching for your model.

And maybe provide also more info here so that, if there's someone with specific knowledge on it, he may be able to help.

  6. Your best option is to find the Routers manual from the manufacturers website, that should give you all the info you need to change the security on it.

Do you guys put this much effort into changing every product manufactured? You want a 42" LED TV. There's 3 brands. Sony, Vizio, & Samsung. The Sony & Samsung are 1080P, but the Vizio is 720P. You own a Vizio now, so you'd like to stick with Vizio, but want
1080P. Do you complain to Vizio to change their already in pre production tv to 1080P, or do you buy the alternate solution that already meets your standards?
