virtual gift card

I just purchased what I thought was two xbox gift cards that I could print out and give as gifts. However, which I clicked on link, the money was loaded into my Microsoft account, which I have absolutely no use for. Can I redeem and give as gift still
or can I get a credit from microsoft to be applied to gift cards? I would appreciate any suggestions because a phone call to them only told me to go to website support which I tried doing but got nowhere. Thanks for any help.

Thank you for your response. I contacted support through Chat and was given a phone number to call. When I call the number I am directed back to website, which doesn't help. I feel like I'm going in circles but I will continue to try. Hopefully, I'll be
able to resolve this issue.

If the funds were redeemed to your Microsoft account, you can try contacting support and speak to billing (http://support.xbox.com/contact-us) to see if there is anything
they can do to cancel the order, but otherwise there is no way to transfer that to someone else. You can purchase games as gift through Xbox and that will email a code for the game to the recipient.

You can go to virtually any supermarket, convenience store, or drugstore and turn it into a gift card

There is no way to get a refund, as it was a gift card, and there is no way to transfer it to another account. Is this gift card just money, or virtual currency for a game? If it is just money, then you can still purchase games with it, by purchasing the game as a gift for the account you want the game on. If it is virtual currency for a game, then there is nothing that can be done to move it to another account, so your only option would be to use it on the account you redeemed it on.
