VirginMedia Superhub 2: New router causing game lag

Hey there Igor! There have been some complaints about Xbox timeouts with Superhub on the Xbox forums as well on

Virginmedia community forums. The problem is the Superhub VMDG480 itself. It is caused by SSH disconnects if not used for a couple of minutes.

If the troublesthooting steps you have been provided with in this thread doesn't work call up your ISP and asked them about timout issues and if there is something that can be solved.

Another solution is to connect a router to the superhub if you have one.

found out the problem.the virginmedia superhub was blocking domain names just needed to disable it.and it works now.

I too am with virginmedia and have the superhub on a 50mb connection. I was constantly being kicked off xbox live and the internet altogether only way to fix it was to switch it off for 30 seconds then back on.. It was doing my head in. Recently they upgraded
the firmware on the superhub to enable you to use your own router by putting the superhub into modem mode only and your connected router to take full control of the wireless devices. It has worked perfectly since.

I recommend if you have a spare router lying around then hook it up. If you need any help doing this just let me know and I'll explain it all to you.

This was affecting me as well but was solved tonight. Myself and my son are both Virginmedia customers and both have superhubs. We eventually managed to get both our NAT set to open, believing this to be the problem. However the chat still didn't work. Eventually
we hard reset the superhub (and wireless router) along with the XB1. Success. Works well using my Turtle Beach headphones with speech through Kinect. Also tested with the headset.
