    What model of router do you have? Have you contacted Virgin Media customer support for assistance?

    Try a hard reset of the xbox hold the home button for 8 seconds till it completely shuts off and unplug the xbox for 5 minutes then forget your network and try reconnecting

    found out the problem.the virginmedia superhub was blocking domain names just needed to disable it.and it works now.
